About Us
Guzakuza Women in Agribusiness Association(GWAA) - Uganda Founded in August 2024 and became operational in October 2024.
It is a membership organizations formed by the alumni of the Ignite-African Women in Agribusiness Fellowship Cohort 8, 2024 in Uganda.The fellowship is run by Guzakuza in Ghana for Agribusinesses in Africa.
The Ignited Ugandan women found it necessary to have an Association that will foster growth of women led agribusinesses both in Uganda and Africa at large.

These objectives are what drive us
Fostering agribusiness growth in Uganda and the rest of Africa is essential for economic development and food security. Key objectives include increasing agricultural productivity through modern techniques, improving access to financing and markets for smallholder farmers, enhancing value addition in commodities, and developing a skilled workforce. By pursuing these goals, Africa can maximize its agricultural potential, create jobs, and ensure sustainable food supplies for its growing population.

To establish high quality value addition, agro-processing and post-harvest practices by establishing processing hubs and carryout quality checks to maintain local, regional and international standards to enhance the value of agricultural products and reduce post-harvest losses.

To advocate for favorable agribusiness policies and legislation at the national and local levels, ensuring a supportive legal and regulatory environment for members.

To assist members in accessing local, regional, and international markets by providing members with tools, resources, facilitating access to markets, financing and partnerships that enable business growth and economic transformation market linkages, trade partnerships, and market information dissemination.
